This is a cooking school cum winery in the heart of Epicurean Center. The mother- daughter duo of Majorie and Kendall are too good as hosts and guides both. First you will be taken on a tour of the Beaune Market to buy fresh vegetables. Here you also get a scope to know what the main ingredients are that go into Burgundian Cuisine.

After this you are welcomed to the lovely clean kitchen and you learn how to prepare a yummy gourmet meal. At the end, you will be served on a very well– laid table with very good quality wine to complement your meal. This is not only an educative but also an entertaining and fun experience.

  • Very understated from the outside, but enter and whole place just comes alive and you enter into a magical place. Love places like this!!! Have to tell you this is a spectacular and awe inspiring shop, with some magnificent equipment and cooking utensils. The back area is like an atrium with the most amazing view of an enclosed courtyard and a spiral staircase. Worth taking a look and a browse around. They even do cooking classes, but you have to book in advance, very popular. Oil, and the coffee is fantastic!!!

  • We enjoyed our experience at The Cook’s Atelier. However, it did fall short of our expectations. While nothing was out of order, it did not deliver the bang for buck we expected. We have done cooking classes in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Thailand and Singapore in recent years. At each and every course we walked away with recipes in hand. When asked if we would receive recipes for the dishes we prepared today, we were told we must purchase the cookbook. This cheapened the entire experience for me even though it was the most expensive class of this type ever taken. Additionally at rates like these, I did not expect to sit with an empty wine glass or to have to ask twice for more water for the table. It’s the little things that count when you are expecting attention to every detail. We have eaten at gourmet restaurants such as Gordon Ramsey’s “Maze” in London for less than we paid today and had the preparation of each dish thoroughly explained as well as the wine pairing selections. All in all, a nice experience, definitely not a negative one, but not as great as one would expect for the price of admission.

  • I visited The cooks atelier for a class after my honey's sister sent me a flyer she picked up from her trip to Beaune. I spent a week indulging in their pictures on Instagram and website until I bothered my fiancée enough to go away with me the following weekend. I've been in France for 8yrs and have been working on my own project along the same lines. This experience was AMAZING ... their attention to detail and their art for mise en place was perfection ! I loved these women and their beautiful work! I dont just recommend The Cook's Atelier, I urge you to do it.

  • Visited in 2012 and it will be forever my fondest memory of visiting wine country! SO WORTH IT!

  • Comme stipulé le meilleur café de Beaune et la décoration est sublime . À ne pas louper :)
