Sassafras is one of the several trails that you can stroll across on the Beech Mountain. The trail stretches for a mile and is a gentle one; thus, hiking here would be an easy task. This trail was a gravel roadway but has been reconstructed to be a wooden one which can be quite charming. It is 40 years old. You will see a myriad plants and flowers en-route, and your walk will be the one to remember. You may want some of your friends to tag along as you enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing; the more the merrier, after all.
