Altar Of The Earth Reviews & Ratings
Peaceful place, full of nature, lots of peagons, best park to walk. and amazing scenes for taking photos.
a place to feed the pigeons, many pigeons. small fun park is available for kids. There is also a small museum in it.
Beautiful ancient place , in the heart of busy crowded Beijing, this architectural masterpiece in the great paradise gardens of Ditan park , were created centuries ago, hardly believe it 🌌 Rich history of Chinese Imperial , where they brought the respect to Confucius, many temples to see and explore 💓 Definetely must-visit !👌
More of a park and less of a temple. This is a large sprawling complex/park that is rarely visited (compared to the Temple of Heaven). It is square in shape (symbolizing the earth) and structures are mostly to the ground. But if you're looking for some peace and quiet, have a picnic, and take a breath while visiting a few shrines and old sacrificial grounds, it's worth stopping by.
Although the importance is no less than the Tian Tan, as sky opposed to the earth, it is less visited by tourists, but rather, the entire park is occupied by old people from the vicinity. Even on a weekday morning, there are a lot of activities around the park, where old people are doing Taichi or dancing. On the other hand, the historical sites there are well shielded from these activities, and it also worth visiting.
