Beautiful palace with lots of history. Is usually very crowded, even in the middle of winter. The informative signs throughout are translated into English as well, which made it easier to learn about all of the different buildings. Security is tight all around, with guards and metal detectors stationed each entrance. Bring your passport!
This is a must see. It's a very beautiful place. Leave plenty of time to walk around as it covers a large area. Its 15 km from the city centre. It is China's largest and best preserved royal gardens.
Very beautiful place with plenty of sightseeing spots which you have to spend at least 3 hrs to go through. Don’t miss the Kunming Lake, Buddha hill, Suzhou street and the old house of former king. You will see very different scenarios here in different season. So, 1 visit is never enough.
Interesting landmark from Chinese history. Worth visiting if you like to walk while observing a good preserved place. Great view of the temple from the bottom, and watch the boats at the lake.
It’s amazing and mind blowing how excessive the life’s of the Royalty were in the past. Them aside, the people I am most impressed with are those to designed and built this place. This place is huge and the lake around it is amazingly. As you walk around the Palace look up there are equally as much beauty as you can see ahead. The details on the doors, the gate, the pathway, gazebos it’s truly astonishing. This place is so big, there was point during my visit where I was quite certain even the Emperor himself may not have been to every part of this palace in his lifetime. Another must visit destination when in Beijing
