Long Corridor At The Summer Palace, Beijing Reviews
What a reverent and beautiful place. Plan a whole day and be sure to purchase admission into the summer palace itself and prepare to walk up a lot of stairs but the views are incredible and the crowd thins out a lot inside. We also visited Suzhou Street at the north entrance... what a sweet gem of a little village. So fun for our teen girls.
A truly magical place. I have many memories here. If you have a spouse or significant other, come here with them. It’s incredibly romantic on a day with good weather. The main gates where you enter are very crowded. However, if you are physically capable, try to make it over to the western side, where it is peaceful and tranquil. Highlights include the marble boat, the fragrance of Buddha tower, Suzhou street, and the 17 arch bridge and island.
This was definitely interesting and quite beautiful. However, if you have limited time it's not as impressive as the forbidden city. However it is definitely in the top 5 list of things to see in Beijing. If you can go in July or August the flowers are in bloom and very colourful, so if you can handle the heat then it would be better to go then and appreciate the full beauty the water features have to offer.
It's a tremendous place to spend some time it really shows how much power and money the Emperor in China had, because the park is huge and the lake is man made, which shows how many people must have worked here. I would suggest to go in Spring when the flowers are blooming and everything is beautiful and you can see the nature. In summer it's very hot and very crowded because of that many tourists. Over all you can enjoy your time in summer
Awesome place to visit really allows one to see and experience the lavish and luxurious life Emperors used to live at that time.Filled with many small shops that sell various snacks and beverages along with several shops that sell souvenirs. You can take a boat ride in the lake there. Only thing you have to keep in mind is that you prepare yourself beforehand as you have to walk a lot .
