  • Very nice hotel compared to the others in the neighborhood. Staff is very friendly but we had a weird encounter with Chinese guests. One came into the elevator very drunk and one of his friends was smoking. We got the room with forbidden city view and the window was very small. Only good for one person to look at the same time. There was also construction going on next door so that is part of the view. The bathroom is huge and shower area is excellent. Large window with views in the bathroom, larger than in the bedroom.... weird. Overall, nice fancy place to stay for not much money.

  • Great balance between value-location-comfort. Highly suggested if you want to be close enough to main attractions via metro (which is inexpensive) and access to great coffee in its lobby for a relaxing time.

  • Poor service. Mediocre food and quality. Rooms are outdated and communication with staff in English is challenging. Poor service - I am a Marriotts Rewards Gold Member and have been to serveral Marriott properties in China last month. I had the worst experience at this hotel. I kept complaining about foul smell in my bathroom to housekeeping, front desk, and hotel manager but no one did anything about it. They messed-up my in-room dining request multiple times - sent something else than what I ordered and food was not well cooked either. They didn't even bother to stock up on extra bathroom supplies despite me requesting for them in person at the front desk and over the phone. Will not recommend this place to any of the frequent Marriott members.
