Crumlin Road Gaol is a former prison located on the Crumlin road to the north of Belfast in Northern Ireland. If you take the tour, it's very informative. The place tells about prisoners and their lives lived in the jail. The way they were flogged and punished. The Gaol takes you back in 1845 when the attraction and conference center was actually a prison. There's an underground tunnel that once connected the Goal to the courthouse. There are also wax idols in the gaol.

Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast Reviews - Write a Review
Really interesting tour of a really interesting place. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. You cannot do a self-guided tour, you have to go in a group but the tours run regularly, every half hour. There is also a nice restaurant, if you're doing the tour, get your wrist band before you go to the restaurant to get 10% off food & drinks.
A great attraction in Belfast. The guided tour was well priced and very interesting, the guides were funny and informative and had some great stories to give as we wandered around this old jail that was used not so long ago. Definitely recommended for anyone interested in some of the history here or if you are interested in seeing an authentic Victorian era prison.
There's only guided tour option here but it's very informative! Our tour guide Roy is knowledgeable and fun. The tour lasted for around 1 and a half hour. Highly recommended!
The history here is fascinating and the tour guide really new her stuff. An interesting glance into a different time. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Definitely worth a visit.
Went with a group from work. The gaol was very understanding with us that we were delayed. The tour was amazing and the guide was very entertaining. On a separate note Cuffs bar and restaurant in the Gaol is well worth a visit and the food was to die for.
