Decent bus and train station. Plenty of inside waiting areas. Few shops
This is hit or miss for service as there are times where the staff can be helpful and other times, not so much. The area can get very crowded and when it does, there is no structure to how people get on the bus. The trains are different as it is very easy to find and to board without any congestion and the area is very clean. Overall the place just barely earns four stars but I will update this as time passes as the place is inconsistent with the experience.
Cheers to the guy checking our tickets. Asked what platform our train was on and he told us platform 1. Now we are in the opposite direction and having to wait for a train back. Not happy;!!!!!
Belfast is so lucky in its transport system, serviced well by both bus and train services. Great Victoria Street (GVS) is the flagship of Northern Ireland's travel jewel. Clean station, well staffed and well sign posted. The trains largely run on time and are serviced by many staff who brighten up you morning with a cheery "hello". Located within minutes walk of the central stopping district, GVS is serviced with coffee shops, a licenced cafe and a small Boots. Most of the emergency items one would need for a short journey are available easily and not exorbitantly priced.
Good station to get dropped off or picked up from or to get a bus from due to its easy links to the bus station. Staff are a pleasure to talk to and the station can get busy at times but never had problems with catching a train from here.
