Museum Of Belize - Review
A popular tourist attraction of the Fort George area, the Museum of Belize is where the erstwhile Belize jail used to be. Called “Her Majesty’s Prison” in its glory days, the museum has preserved one jail cell as a museum exhibit where in you can even see the graffiti drawn by the inmates of the jail cell.
Don’t be disappointed by its size; good things after all, come in small packages. The Museum of Belize is packed to capacity with interesting artifacts, the most notable one being the Mayan exhibits. A majority of their permanent exhibits are dominated by the Mayan period including Mayan jade, ceramic, stamps, bottles and coins. There’s also a section that is dedicated to the insects of Belize.

Museum Of Belize, Belize City Reviews
Really interesting information about the country and its people. The guides we were with was very informative. Really enjoyed.
$5usd to enter, and very informative. A must see if you want culture and history!
A little small, but we'll laid out, pieces by local artists are a nice touch, you're going to see depressing history, but such is colonialism. Nice collection of early native Jade tools. Could make use of the space by the stairs to support a local sculptur's work
We had a nice tour guide. Will be good more cientific info
Perfect ambiance, friendly guides and wonderful experience in general. Applauds to the wonderful few who work here and love their job especially when young inquisitive children are involve.
