Old Belize, Belize City Reviews
My husband and I loved this place! Salt water, sand, a water slide, music, a restaurant, changing rooms.... It is not open to the Sea, but I kind of liked that! They had lots of chairs and lounges. There are tables with canopies for shade. There was a lifeguard on duty who really was keeping an eye on things. This was one of my favorite places that we visited during our week in Belize City.
I got off the cruise and walked down through the port. I found this coconut bar and had awesome fun from the get go. People were friendly there. I exited the shopping area and passed the “secured” area. We met an awesome taxi driver that showed us around Belize. Belize was awesome over all. We had a great time. Very multicultural , and friendly people.
The initial tourist area has almost nothing to do, and nothing particularly interesting to see, so your only good options are to go into town on your own or take an excursion. That said, Belize itself is beautiful, and we had a lot of fun there. The city tours are pretty good, and it's pretty safe if you stick to the north of town.
Great updates with train and recording. Good for groups. But history only focuses on limited examples (no Creole culture?).
I love the change of old Belize it's so much better then what I remembered it to be dam near ten years ago from the last time I was there it's a wonderful amazing upgraded from then to now. The water is blue there music much more placeing a place for all ages I really enjoy it there looking forward going back next year when I visit. Wait let me not forget the Minnie train ride to see how Belize people use to leave and the change from olden dayz to now big change we really enjoyed every minute there the food everything was on point.
