Lory State Park, Bellvue Reviews
This park was amazing! The trails were very well marked and maintained. Some of the more difficult trails were sparsely traveled while the easier trails had significantly more traffic. There was ample parking and group picnic areas. You do have to pay an entrance fee of around $3 per person, but it is well worth it!
The trails are awesome and so are the views on Arthur’s Rock. The staff on the other hand can be quite rude and assertive. The least interaction you have with any Lory State Park employees, the better the experience you will retain. Resource Manager Kevin L. in particular needs to brush up on his communication skills, he has quite the hostile attitude towards visitors.
Lory is a beautiful park. Alot of awesome trails for hiking and mountain biking. Best thing is that there are trails for all levels. The views are amazing and you can hike down to the water if want.
Took a hike up to Arthur's rock on a sunny March afternoon, the weather was perfect for hiking, sunny and sixty degrees. The trail head starts in the parking lot furthest down the gravel road from the visitors center and the hike is about one point seven miles from the parking lot. A small day pack with some water bottles and snacks is not a bad idea. The view from the top of the hill is very nice and you can do some bouldering along the way.
Simply gorgeous. Easy parking. Dog friendly. They have plenty of bags if you happened to forgot some of your own for cleaning up after your dog.
