Overview of Eglise Sainte-jeanne-d'arc
The Church of Saint Joan of Arc was built in 1979. It is in the city center of Rouen, France. The spot where Joan of Arc was burnt is marked by a lovely garden, the Le Bouchet. The modern style of architecture is topped with large stained-glass windows. These windows are from the Church of Saint Vincent which is located nearby, but in ruins. Traditional powerful Christian symbol can be observed here. The structure is in the shape of an overturned boat, and open-mouthed fish can be seen. The interiors of the church symbolize the flames that would have consumed Joan of Arc, and thus are long curves lapping on the sides. Visit this church to understand its unique story, and appreciate the sentiments and design of the structure.
