One of the best museum . Not only for little ones even elders can also enjoy. Museum s maintained very nicely. All the exhibits are very beautiful and maintained nicely. It has very nice kids play area too. Canteen also very good and affordable. Souvenir shop is also very helpful where you can buy all the models of the most important display. There you can get simulations too to feel the cockpit. One good news is that it is open for all 7 days.
HAL Heritage museum gives a beautiful glimpse into the past which led to the present state of defense and civil aviation in India. It is a fun place for children, and aviation enthusiasts. There are multiple demo fighter and trainer planes which are located in the premises along with radars and other things. The simulator is a must try. The gallery which shows the evolution of Indian aviation industry since it's incarnation is really good and gives a complete picture from the starting till the present.
The entrance fee here is Rs. 50 for adults. There are extra charges for the simulation experience. The place is open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on all days. It is well maintained and clean. Besides aircraft models, engines, radars, and satellites, it also contains a plethora of information on flight systems and regulations of other countries' airline services. There is also a souvenir shop (but it isn't well stocked, and could definitely be improved on) as well as a small garden and fishpond. Not a bad place, overall. Definitely worth a visit if you have a free day in Bangalore.
It's an awesome place for people who love aerospace and aeroplanes. It's perfectly maintained and would increase the patriotism in you. It even has a beautiful garden around it. It's fun for kids to watch mighty helicopter and planes. It's very informative and you can simulate the planes by being in the pilot seat. Overall it's not a waste of time place. Trust me!
You should visit this place. Take this Once in a lifetime experience as you will get to know so many thing about our history. So many helicopters and fighter plane. Every helicopter has a board which explains the history completly related to all these helicopters. You can go with your family to spent some good hours. You can get the option of snacks also. Highly recommended
