Lago de Sangue Jigoku, which means Blood Pond Hell, is one of the famous ‘Hells of Beppu’ hot springs. Considered to be dating back to more than a thousand years, this natural phenomenon has always been one of the top points of interest in Beppu. Though small, the naturally dark red water is enough to leave you mesmerized. Though bathing is not permitted, you can opt for foot bath here. There is also a small souvenir shop on the premises that you can visit.
