Established in 1978, the Nationalpark Berchtesgaden aims to preserve and protect the Berchtesgaden Alps landscapes. In 1990, the park was a designated UNESCO biosphere reserve. The park features six information centers, an extensive trail network, and the Church of Saint Bartholomew, which is one of the most famous attractions in there. Nested in a mountainous area, the park provides the perfect location along scenic views for trekking and hiking.
