1. The Baptistery

   

   This building has very old origins and was erected in 1340. It hosts beautiful 14thcentury statues depicting the virtues that can be found in narrow niches of the octagonal building. It is open for baptisms.

3. Torre Civica

   

   It takes about 30 minutes to admire the most unusual views of the city. The lift is made of glass, including the walls inside it. As you go up in the lift, you are treated to the most spectacular views of the city’s monuments. The Campanone –the bell still rings 180 times each night. 

4. Church Of Santa Mara Maggiore

   

   This is the most important building in the city and was once known as The Chapel of the city. The work to build the church began in 1137. 5. The Rocca

   

   The Rocca is a walled stronghold housing a museum. The exhibition is organized in sections and starts with the arrival of the French troops in Bergamo on Christmas in 1796, until 1870, touching on the most significant issues and events that occurred in the province.
