“The Dahlem Museums” is the popular name for the three museums located in the Berlin- Dahlem district. These are the Ethnological Museum, Museum of European Cultures, and Museum of Asian Art. This trio is a part of the 17 state Museums of Berlin. The history and culture of the world are represented beautifully in these museums. World-class displays and collections are seen here. All three museums the ethnological museum has displays from around the world; the most spectacular ones being from Africa. The other two museums are dedicated to European Culture and Asian art as the name suggest and provide a focussed perspective on these two disciplines. A trip to this place is a must for anyone interested in knowing more about the cultures of the world. The unity and the diversity has been reflected beautifully in these museums.
They are all housed in the same building and have the same timings so it is possible to view all three in one go.

Kind of different from the description. Good for children to spend time. For adults, it takes you 40 minutes to go there and 30 minutes to finish the tour.
Lovely museum with some nice exhibits. The one about sheep, wool and how clothes are made was especially great and probably very cool for children. Shame that many parts seem to have been under reconstruction and inaccessible. Staff is also very nice and helpful.
If you read through some of my other reviews, you will notice that it is usually important to me that people treat their guests politely. I am used to qualifying that, at least in my head. You know, like they were really nice for the culture they are from.... But the staff in this Museum are some of the friendliest staff my wife and I have encountered in ANY museum, ANYWHERE. The exhibits are interesting - and they have a few unique pieces you won't find anywhere else in the world.
Quite a small museum, but interesting subject matter. Not worth the trek out of the city, but worth a stop if you're nearby or combining it with the botanical garden (a great place to visit, IMO).
Amazing museum with beautiful history of Europe culture, traditions, costumes and more
