The Zoological Garden or the Berlin Zoo is located on the western side of Tiergarten. It is definitely one of the most loved attractions in the city of Berlin. The most striking feature of the zoo is that it has special habitats made for every animal. Special architects were commissioned for each exhibit and therefore the adaptability of the animals was really quick, as it was made specially for them.

There are birds, mammals and a huge variety of animals that you will come across while exploring the zoo. You should definitely not miss out on the Polar bear here who’s made the zoo his home and has adapted really well or for that matter even the big cats that would amuse you with their ferociousness yet a charming nature. The amazing part is that most of the animals are roaming almost freely in their areas which makes this place a delight to see. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Berlin itinerary 7 days.

  • Very good for taking the little ones to see the real version of the animals from the books : ) We enjoyed sea lion feedings, panda playing and penguins, among others. The restaurant is not recommended though, very expensive for the quality they provide. Take your own food and enjoy the day strolling around.

  • A wonderful place with beautiful animals. A must see place for Berlin with Panda, penguins, white wolves, polar bears and much more. Also, visit the Aquarium - a huge place with tons of animals. Kids are the happiest in here. Not to mention that the garden is placed in a rich and famous area of the city.

  • Very nice and big zoological garden. If you love animals or biology, or taking your time to enjoy every habitat, you will need almost six hours to see every animal they have. The restaurant isn't bad, but not the most cheap prices

  • Many different animals. Very interesting. If you like to study animals like I do, you most likely will need all day to spend there. I would recomend this place. However parking space is small and price is high. I would suggest going there with public transport.

  • Beautiful, wide set up and a huge, cool playground in the middle. Our personal favourites are the penguins, flamingos, elephants and... seals and see cows! Those have aquarium with actual waves which make them dive through. Of course you wouldn't want to miss the panda either :)
