One of the most prominent bird sanctuaries around the world, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is truly a spectacle. The perfect place for bird watching, and spotting rare species, this place is a must see for anyone who wishes to have a tryst with nature. The wetlands of the sanctuary are naturally perfect for migratory birds, who flock here by the millions. You will see lots of ducks, geese, waders, raptors, flycatchers and more. If you’re lucky, you’ll even witness the slender and stunning Siberian Crane. This world heritage site is a perfect mix of nature, wildlife, and serenity. Do not forget to carry those DSLR’s and finally do some justice by capturing beautiful birds in their natural surroundings!

  • This place bring more peace and patience in you. Good place to see lifestyle and emotions of the birds. You need a day to enjoy or explore this place. This place provide you opportunity to see birds from rare to common species. Beautifully maintained. Cycling and rickshaw are two options available to explore the sanctuary. Guides are certified & well behaved. There is also lodge inside the sanctuary if you want to stay at sanctuary.

  • I took out a bike for rent and went by myself without a guide. I'm a complete beginner to bird watching and was a little afraid that I won't spot anything, but if you go deeper inside to the damp areas/swamps, there are plenty of colourful species that you will see by yourself (binoculars recommended though!). Perhaps if you're after a more professional experience, it might be worth getting a guide through the park. Sunset was amazing there!

  • Heaven for bird watchers-We visited the Sanctuary in Nov 18. It is a beautiful place with greenery and birds of various types. Here you have many options you can take a Cycle, which is available on rent or hire a rickshaws inside which is 150 per hour, or you can walk (not advisable if you want to cover the entire park). We hired a cycle rickshaw, and our rickshaw driver was really knowledgeable and knew about every bird in the park.We we're inside for 6 hours and still couldn't cover the entire park. Few tips: Do carry binoculars if you have one also there is an option of hiring them at the ticket counter Do visit in winter season, because then you can see most of the migratory birds. If you have time do try to cover the park in two days, that way it won't be tiring and you would also be able to cover most of the park. Cheers.

  • A wonderful place to visit. The guides are not pushy and the there are plenty of animals and birds to view. There are also very reasonably priced hotels around. It's best veiwed in the monsoons.

  • Best bird scantury in India. Must visit for bird watchers and nature lovers. On the way to Jaipur. Stay facility is available near park with budget to luxurious facilities. Its photographer's paradise.
