The Ganga Mandir Temple or Shri Ganga Maharani Ji Mandir boasts of its exquisite architecture which is a blend of South Indian, Mughal and Rajputana style. The legend goes that starting in 1845 during the reign of Maharaja Balwant Singh, the construction of the temple started and it took about nine decades to complete. The two-storey structure is adorned with carvings on the walls and the supporting pillars which also resemble the neo-classical French Chateau. The main idol of Devi Ganga is made of white marble and is seated on a crocodile. Other deities of Ganga Mandir Temple include Shiva, Parvathi, Laxmi, Narayan, Krishna and King Bhagirath. Ganga Saptami and Ganga Dussehra are the two main events of the temple.
