In the early 19th century, Queen Qudisiya change the patriarchal ruling world and stepped on the throne to rule Bhopal. As an admirer of art and architecture, she built the Jama Masjid and the Gohar Mahal. This place marks a unique marriage of Indo- Islamic architecture and was the Queens final resting place before she passed away and gave her throne to her daughter.
