Visit the only Vaishnava temple, located in Bhubaneshwar. The temple is said to be dedicated to Lord Krishina, Lord Balaram and Goddess Subhadra. Unlike the Jagannath temple of Puri, the idols of this temple have complete structure. Here, the idol of Balaram stands under a seven hooded serpent while Krishna holds a mace and a conch.
The temple has three chambered frontal named Jagamohana, the Natamandira and the Bhogamandapa. Explore the temple to see the mind blowing architectural work.
On the western side of the temple lies the bank of Bindu Sagar. Every time during Janmastami, hundreds of pilgrims visit the temple to pay homage to the gods and goddess. Hence, it is best to visit this temple on such occasions to see how the temple get decked up for the festival.
