Regional Science Centre, Bhubaneshwar Reviews
Great place for young children and students. They can learn from the fun machines the basics of science. Also the small park adds to the attraction. However there is lack of amenities including good drinking water. So carry your own water if you are concerned about the quality
*** WHEEL CHAIR AVAILABLE AT TICKET COUNTER*** Intro: A Science Museum with Interactive Gadgets, Many Visuals, Areas to relax, more for Children, but lot of general information (I don’t know, how far general public will be interested) What I studied (Brief): = Dedicated to the nation on 18th September, 1989. = One of the 26 science centres under National Council of Science Museums. (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.) = Occupies 8 acres of land At present, there are three galleries (84 interactive exhibits): 1. Motion Gallery 2. Mathematics Gallery 3. Popular Science Gallery = This has a number of interactive outdoor exhibits and a Prehistoric Life Park.= = Special shows & Programs = Mobile Science Vehicle = Cacti garden which includes exotic plants. My NOTE: #. Still Photography (Rs.5/= Ticket) is allowed #. Video NOT allowed #. A good place to spend an afternoon (2 PM – 6 PM) with family / children. #. Resting places are available #. Garden is OK #. Children’s Park is average #. Ticket = General visit – Rs.25 #. Timing: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM #. Duration = 2 to 4 Hours, depending upon how serious one is. #. Wash rooms are OK Lack of Proper guidance & explanation is Noticeable, Few of the Gadgets are not working properly, some areas were covered when we visited, Securities are more worried about children taking videos on their mobile than securing.
This is one park with many attractions: 1. As the name suggests "Science Centre" has multiple galleries depicting various fundamentals of general science and mathematics. Young kids can find these really interesting. 2. There is also a 3D show which both elders and kids can enjoy. 3. It also boasts of a nice play area outside which kids of all age group can enjoy. 4. Towards the back side there is also a pre-historic park. So, just choose your own reason to visit this place. However, it gets closed early at around 6.30, so be early.
It's the perfect place to go for knowing about science and general knowledge and facts. It has a lots of awesome things to see and moreover you can do the activities all by yourself and have a practical knowledge. It's a place where everyone will enjoy maybe a kid or Teen or adult. There lights and sound systems available. Prehistoric park is present. Rabbits are also kept here. Children can play here in parks.
It's OK. Many machines are not working properly. All instruments in the park were damaged. Inside hall, it's a better experience. All 3d glasses are scarched. Mathematics hall is well furnished. Well, A student gets a practical views in this centre.
