About Kutch Museum, Bhuj
If you are keen to know about the rich history of Gujarat, visit this marvelous Kutch museum, the oldest museum of the state. Replete with largest collection of extinct Kshatrapa inscription, the museum informs you a lot of stories of the year 1877 during the reign of MaharaoKhengarji III.
Previously, the museum was known as Fergusson Museum. Today, the museum houses exclusive collection of ancient coins (‘Kori’ – Kutch’s ancient local currency), artefacts and folk arts belonging to tribal culture and various ancient paintings, musical instruments, sculptures and metal works. A tour to this museum will educate you a lot about tribal traditions and their lifestyle.
Other than its collection, the Gothic architectural style of the museum is also responsible for its popularity among the visitors.

Kutch Museum, Bhuj Reviews - Write a Review
It was fairly nice. If you are free and have nothing much to do then you can go there and spend some time. My suggestion is don't click pictures because for that you'll have to pay 100 bucks extra.. Not worth it😝
It's a 2-storey building without a lift. It was part of the adjacent school in the ancient times, which was converted into a museum later on. Charges: ₹5 for Indians; ₹50 for international visitors; ₹25 per camera. Takes about 1.5-2 hours for the whole self-guided tour. First floor: Remains from the Jurassic era, stone writings from ancient times (before paper was invented), obituaries of nobles and some superbly carved figures. Also figurines of local tribes are displayed that can be seen around Bhuj and Kutch. Second floor: Beautiful Bandhani clothes ranging from purses to large coats and sarees, small interesting beautifully artifacts like hairpins and vessels, some old coins and also old weapons used by the kings in ancient times. Overall a great experience of the ancient history of the region with perfectly labelled self explanatory displays.
