Set at the foothill of Pacific Valley cliffs lays crescent shaped largest sandy beach of Big Sur, named as Sand Dollar Beach. It is both a beautiful beach and a nice hiking trail offering majestic view of the coast. It is a perfect destination where you can experience both rugged trail and sandy beach in your hiking session. After parking your car at the entrance, look towards the northwest and follow the wooden steps that will lead you the fence from where you get the entire view of Highway 1. While going down to the beach, don’t forget to move upward. From this spot, you can get the panoramic view of the entire sea beach. Keep your camera handy as you might get lots of spots to take the perfect click of the beach.
