Gajner Palace (Heritage) is a luxury hotel located in the middle of the Thar Desert, along the banks of the Ganjer Lake in the middle of the Ganjer Wildlife Sanctuary. Built by HH Maharaja Sir Ganga Singh of Bikaner in the earlier 20th century, this palace-hotel is divided into four wings: Dungar Niwas, Mandir Chowk, Gulab Niwas and Champa Niwas. Spread over 6000 acres of land, this hotel was primarily a hunting resort during the days of the British Raj. The palace was converted into a hotel in 1976 and has 13 historic suits and 32 deluxe rooms. This palace-hotel has reputedly won the prestigious National Tourism Award in the Heritage Category and rightly so! Carefully restored to its original grandeur, this hotel gives attention to detail right from the wallpaper, to the flower pot placement to the furniture, and four-poster beds and picturesque windows. Visit this hotel-palace to soak in its grand allure.

  • Great place for letting go all ur troubles. Must place for relaxing. Have their own bird animal sanctuary. The property is vast and you can stroll and discover ... Food is great. They have their own bar which is built in Victorian style.

  • Great place for leisure. Peaceful. Sound of birds will make your mind relaxed. Stay for 2-3 days and enjoy the royal treatment. Enjoy the safari experience as well.

  • Enjoyed my visit there. Was satisfying to sip beer siting by the lake in the restaurant next to the palace. Well managed garden. The palace has been turned into a hotel. We were asked 250 Rs per person at the entry but we refused since we were going to the restaurant and not really to "visit" the palace.

  • I was mesmerized by the scenic beauty of the place. Spectacular lake side dining area was awesome. I would love to visit Gajner Palace again soon.

  • It's a palace which has been converted into a hotel. It is by the side of lake Gajner which gives a picturesque location. The surrounding is peaceful with no crowd nearby. Lots of bird species can be seen there and one can enjoy the boating there too in the lake. If one is not staying there then it can be visited by paying a charge of Rs. 250 per person, children won't be charged.
