The best parts of Biloxi are always wonderfully understated, elegant and charming. The Old Biloxi Cemetery exemplifies this, and then adds to it by being a wonderful glimpse into Biloxi’s history. There are a lot of really old graves, and if you search online, you’ll likely be able to find a map of Biloxi’s who’s-who and their exact burial spot. Like elsewhere in Biloxi, there is strong evidence of storm damage of course, but somehow, that just adds to the gentle solemnity of the place.

Something exciting does happen here though: there’s an annual Old Biloxi Cemetery Tour that happens in late October, which is most fascinating. The tour is free, though you can donate to it.
