Blackfoot Tourism

Blackfoot is a medium-sized city situated in Bingham County, Idaho, United States, with a total population of around 11,907 (as of the 2019 census). Being the county seat of Bingham County, the city boasts having the largest potato industry internationally, thereby popularly known as the "Potato Capital of the World." In 1885, it was founded that the place also featured the Idaho Potato Museum, home to the world's largest potato chip and baked potato. According to the United States Census Bureau, Blackfoot covers a total area of 6.07 square miles and experiences a semi-arid climate characterized by hot summers and cold winters. The education facilities within the city are pretty robust and feature multiple elementary, middle, and high school institutes, most notably the Blackfoot High School and the Snake River High School. Blackfoot has also been referenced in popular culture, where the city was mentioned in one of Lonestar's songs, a well-known American country music group.
