Kolomoki Mounds Historic Park Reviews & Ratings
We were passing through and wanted a break from the road. We enjoyed the museum and the excavation site within as well as the short film. Learning of an ancient people was very interesting. We then climbed on top of the largest Indian mound on the site and enjoyed the views. Our short stop was fun and we would love to return and kayak the lakes and camp in the future.
Very nice clean, well cared for. Large open area with I do boards to read. Also has cemetery of old plantation owners..nice quick site to explore..the trench along trail is where the mound dirt came from..
Nice visit for us. Museum is a little small for a $5 adult entry fee, but it was interesting. Movie was good. Free to park at the temple mound parking lot and walk to the top.
Beautiful place. Lots to do inside the grounds. Camping, hiking, mini golf, boat rentals beach fishing and a museum. So much more. Very clean. Would come back for sure
Thinking of what our ancestors experienced on the very land on which we were walking was very sobering. The park was lovely, clean, and well maintained. We will be back, possibly to camp.
