One of Block Island’s most beautiful beaches, the mansion beach is the ideal location for beachcombing and body surfing. This secluded beach was once home to a royal mansion which was destroyed by a fire in the 1960s. Easy accessibility, calm waters, gorgeous views, and gentle waves make it a favorite recreational hub among locals and tourists alike. You can take a stroll along the waters, carry refreshments for picnicking or simply watch the beautiful sand and water to rejuvenate yourself here.

  • My Grandfather built a few houses on Mansion Beach. It is definitely a special place for me. The sand is so soft and the ocean is smooth. A beautiful place on this beautiful Island ♥️

  • This beach has a very small parking area so car-pool, plan according. It's also quite a bit of a walk if you have lots of gear to carry BUT it's all worth it. The sand is soft and the water was clean. The kids loved the waves. And I took a stroll to the left and came across the cliffs and rocks. A very nice beach. Also no changing area. Just 3 porta potties.

  • Very nice beach for families however I wouldn’t bring children under the age of six since the waves can get fairly big. Always struggled to find a parking spot especially in the middle of the day when it’s the most crowded.

  • Great beach... Sand and water are beautiful... Nice waves to body surf

  • Better than the town beach. Still a bit crowded. There are better beaches but I will never tell.
