Opened in 1971, Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall is a large seating arena in Bloomington. Formerly known as Assembly Hall, it holds a capacity of 17,222. It is the home ground of Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball and women's basketball teams. The atmosphere in the hall is lit during a basketball game by enthusiastic fans.
