The Archaeological Society of India Museum is an archaeological museum founded in 1956. Several items of archaeological significance, like bronze and stone sculptures of Buddhist and Brahmanical faith, Zodiac signs on railings of Sunga age, etc are put on display here, depicting the rich history of India. The museum consists of two galleries, an open courtyard and two verandahs displaying items of antiquity. Open on all days but Fridays, this heritage museum is a must visit place in the city.
