Today this castle is open to visitors and it not only ofeers great views of the city and the surrounding waters but also helps you soak in some history. One of the main attractions here is the Museum of Underwater Archaeology which was a Turkish Government initiative. This museum helps you explore the ancient shipwrecks in the Aegean Sea. With many artefacts featuring amphoras, ancient glass, bronze, clay, and other iron items, this museum is the largest museum that is dedicated to the underwater archaeology.
