How to Reach Bodrum


  • By Air: The nearest airport is the Bodrum-Milas airport located at a distance of 35 kilometres. Also, the Dalaman and Izmir airports are also at an accessible distance. In the peak summer season, there are also charter flights to Bodrum.
  • By Bus: You can hop on a bus to Bodrum from major Turkish cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana, Bursa and Konya.
  • By Boat: Daily ferryboat service are available from Cos and Rhodes to Bodrum.


  • The best way to get around Bodrum is on a Dolmus. It is a shared taxi and has a huge frequency in all the parts of the town. Bodrum travel guide recommends using Dolmus for fast and cheap transportation within the town.

    • Two of the best ways to travel from Bodrum to Istanbul are by bus or flight. If you take the bus, it would be a 12-hour overnight journey and would cost 70-180 Turkish Lira. If you take a flight, it would be a journey of about one and a half hour and would cost 270-1100 Turkish Lira.
