World Center For Birds Of Prey, Boise Reviews

  • Birds of prey are facinating. We all have to help ensure that the endangered species survive for future generations. Got some pictures of the birds. No flash please. Eyes are fixed so they look the way the head is turned. Always checking everything out.

  • My daughter loves birds and I thought this would be a fun family friendly place to take her to see and learn about them, considering they have a room just for kids to dress up and touch things who would think otherwise. She had a good time looking at all the birds but when it came time for the live bird showing where someone brings a bird out and talks about it she wanted to hold the bird. I explained she needed a special glove and that only the people working there had them. She stated she wanted to hold the little screech owl maybe twice within five minutes and the person holding the bird turned to me and said “you don’t have to stay for the hole thing, you can leave”. What kind of person tells someone with a toddler that paid for her to see the live presentation to leave. It’s not like it’s a movie theatre where everyone is supposed to be quiet and she wasn’t crying or screaming, she just said she wanted to hold the bird a couple times. If it weren’t for this unprofessional rudeness I would have given it 5 stars. But to have an employee suggest my daughter and I leave what is supposed to be a family friendly learning environment with my toddler who was not throwing a fit or crying, because she calmly expressed she wanted to hold the bird a couple times is rediculous and ruined the whole experience for both of us. After the employee said that, my daughter said she wanted to leave so it obviously upset her too. I was able to distract her and cheer her up again by leaving the live event and showing her other things for a while. This review is based on an experience I had during the Screech Owl presentation on 01/03/18 at 3:30 PM.

  • Wow, the World Center for the Birds of Prey is so eye-opening, exciting, and has plenty of ooh-moments. The birds are magnificent and exotic. You won't be disappointed, the center is very interesting and full of astounding information. Every one on the staff was so friendly too. Can't wait to go back

  • Great home school day, this we didn't get to see any of the big birds in action. I hear that's incredible. Looking forward to checking it out this summer.

  • This is a wonderful site for any traveler or person interested in conservation and birds . Super friendly volunteers and staff answer questions and bring the birds right to the visitors. Great picture opportunities and an amazing place to bring kids.
