A wonderful addition to the state's historic buildings, the Beacon Theatre stands tall as a landmark. Built in the year 1928, it is also known as the Broadway Theatre and the Pythian Lodge. Making it to the National Register of historic places in 2000, it is also part of the Virginia Landmarks Register. It displays Colonial Revival and Art Deco styles of architecture and design. Impressive brickwork exterior is well matched with the cove ceiling of the auditorium. Spread over three storeys is entertainment at the fullest, including movies, plays, musicals, opera and more! If you get a chance, do catch a show here.

Beacon Theatre Reviews & Ratings
Great venue for music. Free parking was located all around Beacon Theater and we found parking directly in front. The staff was extremely friendly and security was ever present and ready for any emergency. I don't believe there's a bad seat in the theater, perfect for concerts.
Very intimate, and it's beautiful inside. You can tell it was built in a time when people took pride in there work. I'm 6'2" and the space between the seats is shorter than my legs. Definitely get a seat next to the isle if you're long legged. I liked the upper deck because of the better view of the stage.
Absolutely beautiful historic movie theater. It has been turned into a music venue but offers so much more!
Great memories from when I was a kid and now it's been renovated and hosting some fine entertainment..not a bad seat in the house...
Saw Doug Church and I gotta say Big E would be proud. He really does a nice job at bringing Elvis back to you. He is the real deal and worth every penny. I will see him again. Theatre was great and the staff was awesome. Great experience and very up close and personal venue. 👏👏👏👍👍👍
