Arboretum Park Haerle

Currently Open

This is a nonprofit park located on the slopes of the Rhine Valley. It is open twice a month and during summers, the entrance is free. The park dates back in 1870 when director of the Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft had built a large country house. It was made in the English half-timbered style, with park plantings which are still prevalent. It then belonged to jurist Dr. Carl Härle, who planted a variety of trees and shrubs. After his death, his daughters maintained the property and finally it was willed to a nonprofit foundation in 2000.
