  • La Tupina is high end food with a casual atmosphere. We went for Sunday lunch with friends which felt appropriate. It's rustic dishes were superbly prepared, noone was disappointed - the rich flavours and quality ingredients were delicious. Polite and charming service. Felt like we were in someone's home. And whilst obviously not a cheap restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the bill and thought it was correct for the 2 courses and wine we had. Would highly recommend!

  • Why does this place not have over 4 stars I don't know!!! We were recommended this place by others and it didn't disappoint! Amazing food. Great service. The duck leg was so delicious I want to go back again just for that. Do yourself a favour and go here just for that!!! Partner had chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection. With an expansive wine list we were able to enjoy a great bottle of red from the more affordable end. The staff were friendly, quaint location, and exactly what we wanted for a lovely dinner in Bordeaux.

  • Service was random and very slow throughout evening, we had to ask several times for things that didn't arrive at first request. Two people ordered rib steak to share and left most of it as it was either pure fat or tough meat. Not at all what we expected. Not the cheapest place for french wine either. Positive side is that it had a good atmosphere about it and staff were friendly. We were a party of 6 adults

  • Super atmosphere and ambiance. Excellent menu and food at reasonable prices. Easy to find from Bordeaux centre. Well recommended.

  • A relaxed atmosphere and good food cooked on an open wood fuelled fire makes this a really enjoyable place to spend an evening. While it is true that the food is not out of this world, that isn't really the point for me about this restaurant, it's very traditional home cooked food with a great atmosphere. The service was good and the wine recommendation excellent. My main criticism is the price - it isn't cheep and you can get better steak in London for less. Still we had a great evening laughing away and watching the fire so I'm not feeling too upset.
