Famous as Incident on King Street, the incident occurred on March 5, 1770 when British army soldiers shot and killed people when they were attacked by a mob. This event turned the tables and the sentiment against King George III and British Parliamentary authority. Every year, the massacre is enacted under the auspices of Bostonian Society. Lives were lost to begin an altogether new era in the direction of liberty and independence.
