Legal Sea Foods Trips
Legal Sea Foods, Boston Reviews
One of the best seafood meals of my life! I’ve eaten in restaurants across the globe and this one was exceptionally good. I had the fish and chips and my husband the lobster. From start to finish we raved about every bite. My dessert was a lemon sorbet and chocolate pudding cake and my husband had the key lime pie. We are only in Boston for a few days but plan to return before we leave because my husband wants to try other items on the menu. So many awesome choices! From the friendliness of the staff to the amazing food this is an excellent dining choice.
Great food and a really good location near the harbor. Perfect when coming back from a boat ride around dinner time and want somewhere close by. I recommend going between 4 and 5:30 PM or else there is going to be a wait. I went there for my girlfriend's early birthday and got there at 4:30 PM no wait and we sat outside. I had the Grilled rainbow trout which was cooked perfectly a a light touch seasoning which is all it needs for some flavor. My girlfriend got the shrimp and garlic which looked really good. I got clam chowder to start and I like it when it's not thick and my girlfriend got a salad. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. We will definitely go back if we are in the area.
It’s good seafood but not worth the price. There are other restaurant better or comparable with Legal Sea Foods for less the price. We seated at bar counter (with 2 kids) because the wait for tables are longer. Bartender service are great. Restaurant and restroom are clean. Close to New England Aquarium and other boat tour / attractions
Very busy location. I would advise you to get a reservation on Open Table. If not you will be waiting for a long time (45 minutes for small party, 2 hours for letter parties). Food is great. To start I got the clam chowder. I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't as thick as I like, and I felt it needed a touch more clams. I personally liked the Union Oyster House's more. It was about $45 for a medium sized lobster. Next time I'd get a large one as I, and my wife, could easily have each finished one that size. It also came up with a cauliflower/kale/potato medley. I ended up getting a bowl of lobster bisque for "dessert" as I was still a little hungry. That was great and had a good amount of legit lobster chunks.
Great food but a clueless staff. Wouldn't let us sit next to window in empty restaurant because they seat by sections... Insisted we sit next to host stand where we had to listen to employees badmouth customers. Eventually just moved and had no problems. Waiter came back to ask what our order was twice. Took over 15 minutes to get a beer. Food was good. Well cooked mussels and nicely seasoned oysters. Good beer menu. Good food but service left a lasting impression that will deter a revisit
