Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the Jacques Cousteau Underwater Reserve is a protected area to conserve the coral reef habitat with the tropical fish, turtles, corals and anemones. It is a popular Underwater Diving and Snorkelling spot off the Basse-Terre. The Jacques Cousteau Underwater Reserve is part of the Guadeloupe National Park and surrounds the Pigeon Islands, thereby, is rich in biodiversity. Enjoying on the beach or kayaking around the island will be fun but exploring beneath the sea is the best experience you will have. The water is not too deep and diving options range from beginners’ to advanced ones. One of the highlights of the diving session will be the statue of the Captain Cousteau resting on the seabed.
