Colorado Shakespeare Festival was established in 1958 with the association of University of Colorado in order to encourage the festive and art culture in the city. Considered to be the second oldest of the festivals in the country, it has over the year garnered acclamation and popularity on the national level thanks to the quality of the performances and the number of talented artists whom had graced the stage till now. The place hosts numerous plays including work of shakespeare every summer in both the historic building of Mary Rippon Theatre and indoor University theatre. All the performances are performed by recognised professionals of their forte making it a must visit place for music and art enthusiasts.
