The place attracts a lot of visitors especially hikers and cyclists who wish to explore the rough terrains of this beautiful place. The hike starts from the Gregory Canyon trailhead and end up with the summit are while passing through the dense pine forests opening up to the stunning view of the Flatirons and Chautauqua. Flagstaff Mountain, Boulder Reviews
The drive up is easy and enjoyable. There are bathrooms at the top and plenty of trails. We were feeling “lazy” on the day we went and didn’t have to exert ourselves past our desired limit. There is a nature center which has some pretty nice project, preserved animals, the amphitheater is historic and has a great view. Overall a great experience for families with children of any age and people without children.
One of my happy places. Especially since I get so profusely humbled by the Redwall every time. Wow,the strong fingers and that have graced these boulders...
Easy drive to a great vantage point to see Boulder (although unobtrusive views are a little harder to find due to trees) many trails and pull off points to stop. Keep going to eventually get to the Gross Reservoir (although it’s pretty low due to expansion?) Equally great at night to see the lights of Boulder.
Awesome views. Great place to just get away and chill. Will return someday.
It was a good hike to the top, not too strenuous. I was a little disappointed that you could not hike the peak (no trails to the top) but it offers a lot of overlooks of both Boulder and out to Denver, as well as the Rockies.
