Located by the Kleine Renne, the Krickenbecker Seen nature reserve offers extensive nature activities like water sports, hiking, cycling and nature exploring. From the car parking, you can explore the hiking trails marked with six different colours depicting different duration and the landscapes. The Krickenbecker Seen has diverse landscapes like the lake as the centerpiece, forests surrounding the lake, meadows, fields and break areas. Along the trails, you will be given insights of the biodiversity, culture and landscape of the region. Four Visitor centres are there providing you ample information about the flora and fauna while the observation decks on the bogs, heathlands and water bodies will give you ample opportunity to sight some of the endemic birds like ducks, grebes, Grey-Tailed Eagles, fishes like pike, carp and whitefish.
