This attraction is the best possible introduction to the Ozark area. Various elements are combined: A state-of-the-art interactive map, stunning wall murals, a replica of the Ozarks filled with its natural wildlife, a Native American exhibit and finally, dioramas of Ozark. There’s also an exhibit displaying the inner workings of a hydro-electric dam. Make sure you check out the wet lab, the gift shop, and three intriguing short films: Taming of the Riviera Blanche, Where Eagles Soar, and The Expedition of Lewis and Clark, 1804-1806. There’s a spot outside, a dock, where you can swim, fish or have a picnic.

Dewey Short Visitors Center Reviews & Ratings
Neat place to visit! The kids loved searching for the items on the scavenger list. Lots of neat things to see. The view is great too!
Fantastic! Better than any show in town and the bathrooms are far and away cleaner than the ones at the condo we exchanged into with Interval. Great stop for kids of all ages. Rare combination of being exceptionally entertaining and educational.
My family loves coming here. We pic-nick at the pavilion, hike the trails, play Frisbee on the grass, walk the trails some more, and then play in the water on lake Tanycomo. We've been here many times over the last couple years and we always have fun. The exhibits in the center are educational and interesting. The bathrooms are always spotless which is a must have for anyone with a lot of kids.
Very interesting. From the beautiful views to museum and theater. Most stop if you're in Branson area. Ya all come see us when ya can !
Very nice visitors center. Very informative on the history behind Table Rock and the surrounding areas. Great views from the upper deck. Enjoyed the walking trails thoroughly.
