Established in 1910, Bell Homestead National Historic Site is the historic home of Professor Alexander Melville Bell, the father of scientist Alexander Graham Bell. It’s interesting to know that this beautiful house in Brantford has witnessed the earliest experiments by Bell and it was the place where he invented Telephone in 1874. Covering an area of 4 acres, Bell Homestead National Historic Site went through a number of renovations through all these years. The house was earlier known as Melville House, a name given by the elder Bell. The house feature 10 big rooms, each one showcasing the neoclassical style of architecture.
