Ganymede's Fountain - Review
Fontain Ganymed is one of the first fountains which sourced water from the Danube river and the sculptures which adorn the fountain depicts just that.
The fountain has a statue of Zeus (in the form of an Eagle) with a young man sitting on the regal bird. Four children below the main statue hold the four types of fishes found in Danube.
Today the fountain is one of the historic highlights of the city merging with its old-town streets.

Ganymede's Fountain, Bratislava Reviews
Yet another magnificient fountain .it is in front of the National Theater of Bratislava.. plenty shops and restaurants arround for a good break and enjoy the view.
Nice fountain in front of the National Theater of Bratislava. This is part of the environment and charm of the area. Definitively you will pass by when going around Bratislava. The fountain was designed in 1888 by Tilgner. It depicts figures of an eagle carries the young Ganymede to the top of Mount Olympus. On the upper part of the middle basin there are sculptures of aquatic creatures and, lower down, the central column is surrounded by figures of children holding four types of fish from the River Danube – carp, catfish, sander and pike.
Ganymede's fountain right outside the Slovakian national theatr building.
Basic fountain but it's close so it's worth of visiting
