The Red Crayfish Pharmacy dates back to the 16th century in Bratislava and since then many renovations have taken place which have transformed the building to its current beautiful state.
However, the essence of the original pharmacy- like its original cast-iron sign, fittings and furnishing make it a walk through the 15h century. The place was converted to a museum in 1953 and showcases old china, wooden and glass containers which were used during those times.
The building itself showcases a merge of medieval construction with the older classic design.

Nice place! I got a ticket to the gate tower museum of arms and that got me in here too. The ladies working here are very nice, they don't speak much English but show even the remotest interest in what you are seeing and they will happily explain. I learned about Juniper seeds and "dragon's blood" 😂 Why not stop by - nice experience.
The only bad thing about this museum is that you'll never want to leave. At times I laughed, at times I cried, and made precious memories that will last a lifetime. Just remember to keep the door open when you enter, the pharmaceuticals need ventilation
Hogwarts vibes, good late night party's. Friendly inviting staff, always down for a good time.
The staff were very frosty at first, but once I started asking questions and showing my interest it was as if I was their best buddy. It is very small, especially for the price, but the apparatus are genuine and there is something very pleasing about all the different shaped glass jars and labels. It feels just a tiny bit magic.
Very small and we inter free of charge by using Bratislava Card
