Napoleon's Army Soldier Statue, Bratislava Reviews

  • Part of the charm of Bratislava. According to the legend, this Napoleon's soldier (Napoleon and his army were in Bratislava in 1805) is supposed to have been going through Bratislava when he fell in love with a local girl, stayed in the city and became a producer of sparkling wine. His name was Hubert – which is also the name of Slovakia’s most popular sparkling wine’s brand...

  • One of the many light-hearted statues in the city. The soldier, amusingly, was placed with his butt facing the French embassy behind him!

  • Took break from our walk about around the city..had coffee & bagels at the square.. just lovely!

  • Romantic and beautiful. Unforgettable memories.

  • Very good idea, you can make photos and use the bench at the same time!
