  • One of our personal favorites, perfect high altitude hike up to 12,007 ft upper Mohawk, 4 hour round trip. Beautiful wide variety of terrain from forest trail in the shade to steep exposed sections with strong wind etc. Dog friendly our pug Chapo completed 95% of the hike.

  • Excellent view up there. Mohawk lake is elevated. And can see lot of campers.

  • Beautiful lake. Very blue. Nice day hike up here. About 7.5 miles from the trailhead. You also pass Lower Mohawk Lake, Mayflower Lakes and some old mining equipment.

  • Went there in October, sunny beautiful day, quite windy up there though. the lake was so blue and so beautiful, totally worth it.

  • A moderate hike with absolutely stunning views. One of my favorites!
