Bear Creek is the largest tributary of the Manistee River and when it flows through the green surroundings, it provides an implausible scenic beauty that one cannot take one’s eyes off. The Bear Creek Access Site provides an opportunity to the anglers and sightseers to admire the waterways. The US Forest Service provides an open access to the visitors by charging a small amount of fee that they use for the maintenance. The boat launch makes it possible for the kayaks and fishing boats to get into the waterways and enjoy the picturesque beauty of the place.

  • Salmon and steelhead trout good place to catch these species.

  • This place gets packed fast!!!! But if you do get lucky and find a spot here, keep that luck a Rollin!!! Hook a big one!!! This place does have picnic tables, and even a handicap table too !!! Lots n lots of big fish flopping!!!

  • Not easy to get to the water in the winter, but great ice fishing spot

  • Easy in or out for this kayaker, decent sized parking lot, at least one outhouse. If you have two vehicles and kayaks or canoes, spot a vehicle here and go upstream to High Bridge and head down for maybe close to a beautiful 3-hour trip.

  • Great place to launch.
